well, i found out today that my left rear shock had broken the mounts off, its the one on the frame. now this had happen to my other suburban before. my question is, that did this happen to anyone before, and what did you guys do to fix it??? is there aftermarket stuff out there??or should i just weld it back on. thanks
btw its a 94 k1500

if you can weld it should be an easy fix just plate it and put a new mounting bolt.remeber to disconnect youre battery before you weld on it.

I got a replacement mount from the dealer. I think it was $14 bucks. Knocked the old rivet's out,and installed new mount with some grade 8 bolts. I'll see if it's still on my frame. I relocated my shocks,and I'm not using the stock mounts. You can have for like a 40oz. :beer:

thanks, i guess i could try and re- weld it, just that being right next to the gas tank and my welding skills (or lack of) i'm hesitant to blow things up.
i could also check with the dealer and if its only a few bucks, i guess i could go that route, but then again if this is a comon failure i would like to do something about it. rather than keep fixing it,
