just picked this up on sunday. 89 crewcab 3500 4x4 . 454w/ 400 d60 an 14 bolt. 6 inch lift with 33's pw pl all that good stuff. I must say i love this truck. I paid 6k for it which seemed like a great deal. Engine and trans are still under warranty.

A few things i want to start on are a disc brake conversion and crossover steering.

Well here is a question, will crossover steering help my turning radius much or just a bit?

Anyone know any good write-ups on how to do these mods?
Feel free to chime in.
oh ya a few pics

That's a nice truck. I would trade my Burb AND Z71 for one od those. :D

Crossover doesn't improve your turning radius at all. If your knuckles are hitting the stops then that is it. Crossover corrects the bumpsteer you get from a lifted rig. Your turning radius is still going to be a city block with that beast no matter what.

well i think rear steer is a lil out of my price range. :D can you swap to a different knuckle?

As far as i know you there is no other knuckles out there that will give you a better turning radius for a dana 60. Besides, if you make your knuckles turn tighter your getting into pushing the u-joints on the axleshafts to their limits and will start to snap them. Just leave it alone and drive it. :flipoff2:
