Torque converter is not locking up all the time. I guess Kevin hit it on the head. Time to pull tranny. :crazy:

Well I just got back from the shop to look at all the broken parts. :crazy: What you expect Bonzai to do anything else but break shit? So heres the list of what needs to be replaced:

Clutches of coruse
Bearings
Rear planet
Rear sun gear
Rear ring gear
Sun shell <----this one is a good break.
Pump cover
Forward sprag



So now I got to to figure out where I am getting all this money from.

a JY tranny wont get you by? they are alot cheaper than payin to have one fixed.....

1. you would have to find a 4wd 4l60e tranny in a junk yard.
2. would you want to drive 500 miles a week on a jy tranny?
3. would you want to tow a 6000lbs blazer a couple of hours with a jy tranny?

So its money well spent, I just dont have the money. Its got 80000 on the current rebuild so it was getting close. I should of been saving for it.

Anyone want to buy a truck? After driving this escalade I dont want to go back to my truck.

Come on, now its got 3-4k on a brand new crate motor, new exhaust manifolds, new water pump, new cap, rotor, plugs, wires, will have a rebuilt tranny this weekend. :crazy:

$2100 later I have a tranny laying under my truck, a new tranny cooler, and a box of fluid. I owe my dad $700, I owe my card $1300, but I think I should be able to go wheeling tday if I can get EVERYthing back together.


For now I drink, well after dinner.

well that fixed it. Its weird everytime I give it gas im expecting a vibration but I get nothing. This is going to take some getting used to.
