So what’s the consensus on the IROK tires? Need some input from people who run ‘em. Like ‘em, love ‘em, hate ‘em? How do they compare to other tires you’ve run? Do they flex well? How are they on the rocks and snow? Do they clean out well? Are you running Bias or radial? Why?
I’ve got a lead on a good set that’s used and need to hurry up and make my decision…so a quick response is IMPORTANT!!!

Mine are bias ply. They are the best tire I have ever ran.Stick like glue on the rocks and the sidewalls are pretty tough. The only thing I would get rid of them for is a bigger size :toothless:

Chris runs the 42's.
If they made a IROK size between the 42's and the donut-like 49's, thats what I'd go with next. As it is now, my next set will be the 47" LTB's if they ever come out... :D

After seening the way sirpip's 42's worked on the rubicon, they made a believer out of me... And he didn't have bead locks so he only aired down to something like 20 psi. It was very rare that he ever engaged the arb in the front locker, most of the time he crawled over everything. And the tires didn't even have any cuts or chuncks missing, you would never have thought he had been on the trail at all. Just my two cents.

I run bias 39.5s, love em! Bad ass sticky tires. No gripes here. They even ride pretty pleasant at 75mph :pimp2:

I second that one.
I think most of us were convinced that if you step up to 42-44 range you can just about crawl over anything.

Well…looks like I’m getting a set of 39.5x13.5x17 IROK’s!!! :2thumbs: :D They’re used but look to be in pretty good shape and they have more tread than the tires I have now…so that’s always a good thing.
I’m going to pick them up on the 19th (after about 10 hour drive round trip :( ….anyone down for a roadtrip  ). So today I order new wheels from summit and a beadlock kit from Kert @ Diy4x4….beadlocks here I come!!!!
On a side note…does anyone want to buy some 38x12.5x15 TSL/SX’s on 8 lug 15” steel wheels????
:p

He he he….wait till you guys see what I’ve got up my sleeve.!!! :eyebrows:
Beadlocks are nice!!!!
I’ll post up pics in about 10 days of my new set up…it’s gonna be sweet.
On a side note….anyone feel like going on a roadtrip on the 19th to pick up some tires? Going south about 4.5 hours from the Bay Area. If you’re good….we’ll stop at Anderson’s near Coalinga for some good pea soup. Maybe even Harris ranch for an EXCELLENT steak dinner.
