Any Autometer gauge.

I prefer Electrical over mechanical gauge. Mount the sender in the pan.

That's my $.02. I run that setup in my rig and it works great.

Im convinced that a remote filter for any transmission is a good idea after seeing what the stock screen will filter to(~100micron, aka crap) . Permacool has this cool mount that has a 1/8 NPT tap in the middle of the input and output that mounts a temp sensor in there remote filter setup. The downside is you have to buy there cheap guage with it and the cost for the whole kit is $80.

After also buying there kit without that hole drilled and tapped and the gauge for my power steering, you could easily drill and tap there cheap $40 remote mount and buy a good Autometer setup and use it in conjunction with it.

Just my $.02 on the subject

Autometer by far the best. Every race car across america runs Autometer. Also a mechanical gauge is more accurate than an electrical gauge but does require a bit more room for install and a little more headaches to install.
