Want to say it was summer of 1994….maybe 1993…it was the “Far Beyond Driven” tour so when ever that album came out. Pretty sure it was 1994. Yeah…it was one of the best shows I ever went to. Went with a group of about 25 of us. We made a HUGE banner that Phil took up on stage with him and then hung up on the stack of speakers the whole show. We bought like 3 cases of 40’s for that show…..those were the days.

That show, along with the “Clash of the Titans” tour in 1990 with Slayer, Anthrax, Megadeth and Alice in Chains and the 1999 Ozzfest were probably the best shows I’ve ever been to. I’m sure I’m forgetting a bunch though because I’ve been to SOOOO Many shows since 1989. I saved all my ticket stubs….I should go back through them and make a list.

Oh….I forgot about the show in 1993 that I saw In Dallas Texas. Saw Corrosion of Conformity, Testament and Iron Maiden. Got back stage passes to the show with my Uncle. Went back and met 3 of the dudes from Maiden and played basketball with the guys from Testament. Was too cool!!!! At the time it was the highlight of my 15 year old existence.

Picked it up yesterday. WOW….killer album!!!! Best I’ve heard from Slayer since Seasons in the Abyss way back in 1991. Tracks 6-10 are the best. Even more bummed I missed their show a couple of weeks ago.

Unearth I would get "The Oncoming Storm" really good. Also there new one "III: In The Eyes OF Fire " But I would get the first one I mentioned first.

Opeth is a band were they play 8 songs and it takes 2 hours to listen to them. They go slow then super fast. The "Blackwater Park" album is a must have. Also "Deliverance" is a solid album.

Mushroomhead comes out on Sep 19th. Get XIII it's pretty good.

Yeah….thought about that one and “1919 eternal” but I wasn’t sure if they were worthy of being on the top 5 list. DEFINITELY the top 10. Although….I should probably replace “Master of Puppets” with either one of those. But…it’s just hard for me to do that….I grew up being the biggest Metallica fan out there…only to be completely crushed/betrayed and let down by them when they put the black album out…I’ve hated them ever since and have never purchased another one of their albums. Wife took me to the bill graham center saturday for AFI concert. I guess they played alot of thier old stuff and some new but I thought it was pretty cool. Don't think it really relates to black label society and such but all in all pretty cool concert. Oh they had this band called SoaSin I liked them alot.

Great disc...if you haven't picked it up I recommend it. Especially if you'r a Pantera/Damageplan fan or DAC fan. It's comical if nothing else and provides you with some good "getting wasted" music.

I bought there first disc way back in like ’95 when I was still in HS and have loved these guys since. I met the bass player one year at Ozzfest at the Shoreline. He was wasted…we ended up doing some shots of jager at one of the booths there…he was a cool guy. Plus they're local...from Oaktown yo!!!

I also just recently got devildriver’s CD called “The fury of our maker’s hand”…it’s pretty good too. And Diecast’s new one titled “internal revolutions”. But I haven’t had a chance to listen to that one yet.
