Anyone happen to know the bolt size and thread for the bolts that go into the cv part of the driveshaft though the to the yoke..

Perty sure they are just 1/2 inch normal thread SAEs. The ones I used were 1.25 inch long I think.

Those are for the flange type ...right..iirc
These are like 5/16 fine thread maybe..non flange type cv

We prefer the flat flange output on the 30 spline output shaft due to the fact that you can actually put a socket on the bolts that hold it together from the front. The yoke style CV joint is a real pain to install since it uses fine thread bolt installed from the rear of the yoke. Nothing like turning a 5/16" fine thread bolt 1/8" of a turn at a time with an end wrench. GRRR. Other than that, there may be details that a drive shaft shop would be best suited to helping you with.

Mine are 1/2 socket so I would say that the 5/16 fine is a good start. Mike I have 4 of them on my spare shaft if all else fails.

Oh yeah right oh. I have a bunch of those suckers if you need some. Pretty sure they are what you are looking for. I need to figure out how to secure my nut and bolt drawers for wheelin. I hate wheelin without my mobile OSH store.

Thanks Mark but I got some and a few extras fron Osh today..Plus now I have a extra flange driveshaft and flange if the yoke breaks.. :2thumbs:
