Just wondering if anybody here goes snowmobiling??? I'm thinking about buying a pair of sleds again. Really hated selling mine before coming to California and am dying to buy another pair. Found a pair up north for a decent price and went to look at them Friday. Been mulling over making an offer since...

I was thinking about buying some. My dad used to run the SkiDoo dealership at South Lake Tahoe, Anytime Powersports. Snowmobiling rocks. I still need a trailer though before I can buy some sleds though. What are you looking at getting?

I used to have a pair of Enticer's one being regular track and one extended track. I can't afford much right now so I'm looking at a pair of Arctic Cat El Tigre 6000's. They have between 3000 and 3700 miles on them, one is an 86 and the other is an 88. Not real fancy compared to today's new sleds but are 540CC liquid cooled and were pretty good power houses when they were new...

That's a decent looking sled for being 20 years old.

How much are you looking to spend? How much they asking for those? I used to ride a '91 Polaris Indy 500. That sled was nice, don't have a pic right now. The suspension buried the Arctic Cat and I bet you could find one in the same price range. The sled would do around 80-85mph. Not super fast but fast enough to get the adrenaline pumpin for sure. Also was available in short, mid and long track. Had the mid, it did ok in the powder, long woulda been better, but then you sacrifice some cornering.

That's not actually a picture of the sled I'm looking at it's just one I found on the internet to put up here. Didn't take any pictures of the sleds I'm looking at when I was up there. The ones I'm looking at are in much better shape than that one. Plus they were one owner sleds. No tears in the seats etc. plus they both have covers... They are asking $1200 for both sleds, I thought I would offer $1000 and see what they say.
