Looking at all the diffent styles and types...so anyone have any experiance with a re-bar type..saw something on Pirate the other day were instead of using flat steel a re-bar piece was bent into a circle and welded to the lip of the rim/wheel...will this actully keep the wheel from bending? looke like a cleaner les bulky way to stiffin the rim???
I'll go try and find that pic I saw....

Kieth (KPanza) from SoCal has them on his Stazworks rims. They have been working well for him. The first time he took his K5 out (on the Rubicon) on he bent a rim bad enough for it to start loosing air. Luckily Noel had a copper hammer and he beat the rim back into shape. After that trip Kieth put the re-bar rock rings on and has had no trouble. They look clean and they don't add a lot of wieght like some of those plate style rings.

Cool thanks for the reply..Ya I know Kieth..I will be running H1s and thoes are heavy enough allready..with inserts too..AND I don't want to bend one as getting them re-centered is not something I can do...so I'm thinking I sould do something to keep the lip from bending and the re-bar doesn't add a lot of weight and it keeps the H1 look...this is a mod I will do down the road so I have lots of time...
