I haven't been to a junkyard in years..gave up on them cuz you can hardly ever find firstgens...but now I guess I'm difffeerent :chaz:

I know there is a truck in the newark yard that doesnt have a bed on it and a half taken apart 14bff.

I don't know were any yards are nowa days...back in the 90s I use to go to the hayward yards alot..over by the SanMateo bridge when I lived in Freakmont..I think Modesto has a Junkyard??
DIY4X has plates for 40bucks :unsure:

No I haven't spoke to Dillon sence I picked up yer engine. Good call though he may have what I need... :unsure:
I do need to keep the expensise low for the rest of this build...I plan on getting the new beefy hardware down the road but for now I just gotta get it rolling again so I can start working out the kinks and have a rig to wheel in Pismo..

Not sure if a 14sf uses the same plates and u-bolts, but if it does then the 74 in my garage has what you need and you're welcome to it. Just needs to be pulled off of it. :uh oh:

I don't know if they are the same tube size but I would guess they are and the SF to FF difference is just the outers :unsure: :unsure:
Maybe someone here knows?

yes they are the same tube size. And the yokes are the same too.

Well I guess someone ransacked the box that came with them before I had a chance to secure them..who knows what else is missing? That place you took them too has some real shaddy people hangin out there :blink: :toothless: :box:

3.5" tubes or 3-3/8" tubes? Ive got a set of 4 new 3.5" u-bolts from 5/8" stock in the garage somewhere.

3.5" is for the newer 14bolts ie. 88-present
