Not unless he cuts the rest of his top off. 83 was not a full convertable where as 73-75 are.

As yu can see in the second picture, the only cosmetic problem is the black marring on the tinted window from rubbing on the bar inside.
It won't show when it's mounted up because the bar will still be behind it.

No tears, or scratches.
Still is shiny and can even get better if I wipe it with some products.
