Some of my buddies want to go wheeling before we all start school again late September so I guess I'm headed back down to Hollister hills if anybody wants to come out. Boring, yea I know, but it's a chance to go play in the dirt.

So what time are you planning on being there on Friday? I think I have convinced the wife to let me free but my boss might be another thing. Are you guys camping?
It's been awhile since I've really hammered on the truck but it should hold up fine. All I have are 285's and a long wheelbase so I think I'll stay out of the rocks. I've never been to Hollister, just driven by, is there enough "tame" stuff to keep me busy and out of too much trouble?

Plenty to do with your truck.

I imagine. But that's coming from the a guy that wants to run the Rubicon with IFS. The difference between you and me is that you have a tow rig and trailer. Me, I've got to get my junk home.

Negative. Ask around, I'm a legend when it comes to driving to and from the trail. :p
Tow rig- yes, trailer- not so much.

Almost everything there is stockable, you might want to shy away from Jungle (though I'm sure you could do it with a bit of finesse), Squeeze Rock, The MiniCon, Rut and Tank Trap. There's no way I'm running most of those actually :rotflmao:
We'll be there probably around 7 or 8pm on Friday after work and we'll be camping. Obviously were just planning to get there, hang out for the evening then wheel Saturday morning and afternoon.

I think I can do that. It turns out my boss is out all week. I guess I've got to check out the truck and make sure it's good to go. It has been running hot but it has been pretty hot out here anyways, probably cooler there than here.
Anything special I should bring. Other than tools and fluids and whatnot. I mean like food, camping stuff. I was just going to bring the regular stuff but didn't know if I should pack along anything special for Hollister.

It's fairly nice, Sycamore has bathrooms and warm showers so really it's very non-camping camping.
Just bring enough water and gatorade, I never seem to bring enough for wheeling. I find myself sucking down 6 or so a day. Other than that it's just one night, bring a meal and your set.

well mine are a in a kinda state of working.
TLT has some rear driveshaft spitting out issues. Ordered a part to fix this the right way last night, shipped out today.
Clod, thought I blew up the front axle. It made a really cool noise when going. Tore it apart and it looked fine. Put it back together but have yet to try it.
The beastly buggy just sits. I think I got some tires/rims today. Now I need to get the gd600 installed on the stealth.
