He bought his car trailer a few months back. The winning thing about it was the 9k winch that was on it. He had to pull it off so that he could get his dads truck on the trailer. And prior to that had talked about putting it on the sammi. Something about playing hide and go seek in a tree????

He told me that he wants to have the front and the winch done for holister in a few weeks. Other wise he is kicking Dillion out of the passanger seat and calling shot gun.

well a swift motor on stock sammi axles with welded diffs and 33 , bring spare axles cause u are going to need them alot, i blew my front shaft 10 mins off the trailer and its open and 31's

i totally agree with you on this.i was driving when i saw the sammi for sale he wanted 600 bucks i said i got 400 cash he said il take it :D got it home it overheated :crazy: then soon realized it has no fan. didnt have to drive it far just maybe a mile or so got in the garage and started :welder: . the front axle is already missing a birf im thinking about yota axles and just selling the sammy axles i got for cheap.build thread and pics soon to come :2thumbs:

I sold my 550 when I moved to the bay area. It was mildly tuned, west coast pipe, velocity stack, and stainless impeller. Just the basic mods.

Sold it cause of all the damn restrictions around here. When I lived in Fresno I was 15 mins from Millerton lake, throw the ski in the truck after work, go ski till sundown. That really rocked.

I used to be one of the jet ski mechanics for Anytime Powersports in Tahoe (they aren't there anymore) and Lakeside Watersports in South Lake Tahoe. What you doing to the X2?

i have a few front drive shafts, the x-2 i got on a deal with the two 550 and a trailer, it's got a few mods pipe, carb, manifold, accu steer just need to finsh plumbing the fuel lines and cooling lines maybe shave the head for around 180 psi and paint, i should be picking up a 98 sxi pro here real soon

So, I’m confused…you’re dumping the geo tracker gear into the sami right? You’re not building up the tracker are you? If you are dumping all that gear into the sami how the hell is all that going to fit in that little thing? How long is the geo tranny/stock geo tcase/low sami tcase? Seems like that shit would be hanging out the back of your little rig.

well he might be going to longer spring for move articulation which could move things out a bit. plus the radiator doesn't have to stay where it's at, and i'm sure jerry's got all kinds of tricks up his sleeves. other wise he'll just cram it all in there like J and see what happens.

whats the worst. the winch goes out and you're stuck trying to tow it back to camp.

so the plan now is leave the sammi like it is and start from scratch tube frame yotas maybe d44 tracker motor trans tcase and sammi case wheelbase to around 105 inch three link rear four link front on areostar coil springs or coil overs if i have the money locked front and rear on 37's winch on the front maybe one on the rear, full hydro steering, i decided to do it this way cause if i did all this work to my sammi i would still want a buggy so i might as well just build a buggy
