So does this mean you are 4 linking it? And why do you need 2". Wait someone just ordered a beefy shaft eh?

Yup....Double triangulated 4 link with coils. The machinist at work has a 1 ton, 4 linked FJ40 on 39's with a TBI 454. Been asking alot of questions and learning alot from him. I'll pobably end up with the 14b truss thing from Blue Torch...Most everything will come from there actually- tabs, rod ends or joints, the truss etc.
99% chance it'll be done by Blazer Fest...Prolly sooner. End of Febuary probably. I can get things like tube, tabs, heims/RE joints etc. at a pretty good price through Jesse. I've already been sketchin out a few "plans" of how I'd like to do it.
As far as why 2" material...Mostly because my co-worker has the same, it has worked well for him. My rig is heavy and my driving style is not conservitive...So I think the extra beef is a good idea. :D
I'm also gonna boatside the shit out of it....My rock sliders are rediculous and have denied me from the "fun line" more than once. :)

2" - 3/8" wall is not enough as I discovered this weekend.

Hmmm...
Even considering the weight differnce between the two of our rigs? I knoq my truck doesn't weigh anywhere close to what yours does.
How long are your links?

So why the rear first, like yer rig doesn't flex enough? What coils are you looking at?

The rear doesn't flex as well as the front....not even close. The 63's flex ok, but the traction bar takes a bit of that away. Gotta have it too....Axle wrap is baaad without it. If I link it, I can extend the wheelbase enough to get my departure angle at 90*. No more axle wrap... I don't want to link it for more flex, mostly just to gain all the other benefits of a linked suspension.
Rear first cause it's the easiest. :)
Not sure on the coils yet. I was thinking I'd ask Noel what coils he was using on his old rig... Tweaker. Those seemed to work quite well. Otherwise...I'm open to suggestions. :D

Yeah....She was admitadly just blowing smoke, idle threats and other assorted bs.
Shocks, atleast for the time being, will just be the cheap ass Rancho's that I have now. If I had one of those rare money trees, I'd have some nice coil over shocks. :)
