Well, we went on another quick trip to La Grange today before my brother and I went to our parents house, this time I had some bad luck.
I busted my slip yoke and both U-joints at the same time
Drove home in front wheel drive :pain: oh well, had a BlaSt!

Is that your rear shaft? Why do you have to places for slip?

yep, its the rear. I had it made for me awhile back after I added the 6" lift since the stock shaft was barely hanging in there.

Ive always thought that with the double slip it would bind? Do you think thats what did you in? or was it time for it to go?

I was going up a "wanna be stair step" after my front wheels got up, i think my rear shaft held the wieght of my entire truck, and the joints went BAMM! lol, well atleast my shaft seems straight still.

slip yoke is 7" long, not measuring u-joints hookups. shaft is 31" compresses also not measuring ujoints eyes.

pretty sure I know exactly where that happened. way in the back right? I did the same thing, except mine was throttle (stupid amounts) induced. dropped the spare in and 30 feet later it too fell out. while I was in the process of putting the fron tshaft back in (borrowed the straps to put the spare rear in) I noticed a crack in the diff housing and uppon further inspection the tube had actually broken the housing and cocked out about 10 degrees, and the whole diff rotated up. same as you I drove it home in front high. that was a long drive back to Ceres at 35mph.
