Does anyone here know of a member that lives in the San Diego area? My wifes' grandparents need a car repaired and they live in the San Diego area and need a reputable shop to take it too for repairs.

Keith is in Mission Veijo which is about an hour north of San Diego.

Get on CK5's lounge and ask on there. I see alot of guys from San Deigo on there but I don't know any of them enough to ask them. I'm sure if you make a post even in the garage they will help you out.

Esto, he made a post in the garage, not sure what came of it but I saw it there. So can I have a cookie?

Maybe he didn't say "please with sugar on top?"

If you haven't found a place yet. Have them take it to Roy Wheeler Automotive in El Cajon. 619-442-0722

They are friends of my family, ask for Roy or Charlie an tell them Art Bell sent you, if that doesn't get a good price tell them that Chris Dupre recomended the shop also, Chris is one of my best friends an used to be the shop Foreman. Let me know if you need me to call ahead.

No BS there, so they won't try and over charge for unneeded work.

Thanks for the props but i don't have any time off work to do such a thing and it would take a small bank to pay for gas to drive there in my rig which i would need to carry all of my tools. Besides, just about any shop should be WAY cheaper than the $5,500 they were quoted from the DEALER to replace an engine that doesn't need replacing, only needs a head gasket and whatever other related repairs.

Now if they lived much closer i could easily do the repairs for the cost of materials.
