I need to get me one. My phone games are getting boring and it's hard to keep up to date reading material. A cop has to have something productive to do when they are running radar......................... :2thumbs:

I'd buy the bigger one.. Shift on the fly gears.. The smaller one you have to switch the gears manualy on both the front and the rear..

But from what i have read you can modify the smaller ones a heck of a lot easier. :2thumbs:
Those are cool. I want to buy 3 of them for the kids. That way they will leave mine alone.

On the small ones.. It is really hard to move the gears.. I actually have to get a screw driver to push it over.

Its basicly cold axles and tires. The rest is home made. You can buy chassis and what not.

The Wal-Mart ones by Nylint are $149.99, Jim bought a cheaper one at Toys-R-Us for $60, but it doesn't have shift on the fly, or any other gears for that matter.

The Clodbuster/Super Clodbusters that you can convert into the ones Jay and Esteban have start at about $189.99 http://www.hobbypeople.net/gallery/315321.asp
And then the conversion kits, if you don't fab your own, are more $$ on top of what you pay for te Clod....
Yet another addiction.....

I think I'll start the new axles this week. I sold my other ones so now I have no 1:1 crawler and no 1:10th crawler. :uh oh:
jays68yak
10-31-2005, 08:38 PM
why did you sell the other axles? Ive been thinking about building a tuber. Bodys seem to not last long on my wheelers, big or small.
Esteban86K5
11-01-2005, 03:49 AM
why did you sell the other axles?
Because someone bought them from me for $125 and i can buil them for a fraction of that. Plus I am going with different steering arms and axle shafts so they wouldn't have worked anyways.

I just thought I'd tip every one off.
Hobby Town in the San Antonio shopping center (Mt. View/Los Altos area) is going out of business. They are selling every thing pretty cheap, and if you talk to the right salesmen will cut killer deals on the stuff.
I picked up a new unassembled Super Clodbuster for $89, and an e-Maxx for $169!! Plus extra tires/rims and other goodies...
The addiction is growing, and YES the K5 is running now too!!
