Hey I was wondering if I could swap my front yoke 205 to the circular 4 bolt flange 205, from a newer case. Kevin don't you run that set up? Can I just take the old style 205 and the slip yoke style case apart and swap parts. Is there some special parts required? The reason I ask is my two front dana 60 drive shafts are the circular flange style but my current 205 is the 4 bolt yoke style.. Any help would be appriciated.

I just had all my front d-shafts converted to a special round flange,and high misalinment CVs,, Hope that covers my breakage issues, as far as changing yours, Just check the output spline and match it up, they make 32 and 10 spline flat flange/yolk :2thumbs:

They also make 30 spline flanges for the front output :2thumbs:

So what your telling me is I need to pull both t-cases and see what I got, :crazy:

You should be able to change the output flange/yoke without pulling the case. If the case is older than '76 its a 10 spline, if its later its probably 30 spline.

The rear is 32 spline.
I think 73-74 was the cutoff for 10 spline but yes the front would be 10 or 30 spline. Except on ford tcases it's 32 on the front as well

If yours is the 4 bolt style then you have a 10 spline front output and the flange style is a 30 spline so you cannot just swap yokes but you can swap the complete front output shaft to the 30 spline stuff. I can help you do this if you want. I converted my front 10 spline to the 32 spline version so when i go with a doubler everything will be 32 spline from the 203 rangebox back to the 205. :thumb:

Bulletproof? yep 32 spline. Get a Front output shaft. and yoke or flange.
You can get used stuff and swap the front output shaft.


I just picked up a ferd 205 female 31 input and 32 spline front output. with a yoke.. I wanted to swap the 32 spline front output into mine.
I also have a newer version 10 spline input NP205 with the 30 spline flat flange on the front output.

Either of these t-cases could be for sale. PM me.

Just take all the 30 spline stuff and swap it into the case with the 10 spline stuff. You could buy a new shaft and flange in the 32 spline variety if you want though.
