This years blazerfest costs will be as follows:
1st adult in your group will be $41.50
All adults in the same group after the 1st one will be $36.50 per person.
All kids will be $21.00
Children under 3 are free.
If you're just coming for the day on Saturday only and will NOT be camping but will be eating dinner it'll be $26.00.
The costs above include camping for Friday and Saturday nights, an all you can eat catered tri-tip dinner with all the fixins and 5 raffle tickets for Saturday night's raffle.
Payments will only be accepted this year via paypal. Make all payments to: nathann@overaa.com
In your paypal payment YOU MUST list the names of ALL the people in your group that you are including payment for and if they are an adult or child (not mentally....but their actual age :flipoff2: ). Would also suggest you reply to this post when you send in your payment and list how many adults and kids will be in your group.
If for some weird reason you can't do paypal then PM me and we'll work something out.
All payments/registration for BF 2009 must be made by July 9th 2009 becasue we have to give the final headcount to the BBQ dudes on the 10th.
Let the games begin!!!! Can't wait!!!

No. If they're not camping, not staying for the BBQ or the raffle and are just wheeling that day than they don't need to pay us anything. However, they need to still stop at the ranger station and pay the usual fees to them.
If they change their minds and want to eat, camp or stay for the raffle it'll be $26 per person for them.
Lisa, Mike, RB and Tunedport...got all your payments. Thanks.
Jeremy...to answer your question....according to my records it NOW looks like we are above the break even number so the club won't be losing money. Thank god...I was getting worried.

Oh....BTW.....we curently have 69 :pimp1: people paid up and registered for BF 2009. Not as many as in years past but considering the circumstances this year it's a pretty good number. :2thumbs:
I have to get the final headcount into Mansmiths today. So, if you know anyone that's interested in going....get them to pay up today...ASAP. After today I can still accept money and they can still come to BF but I'm not sure how that works out with Mansmiths. When I call in the final headcount today I'll ask them.

why not just inflate the number a lil.
My two extra passengers say they'll head into town to eat, but I think they'll want to stick around for the bbq. If you want to add two extra to my party, I'll paypal you now or just bring cash to the park. Whatever's easier.

If they're not eating or camping they don't owe anything. If they're doing at least one of the two it's $26 per person. You can still paypal me the $$ if you need to. :2thumbs:

Do I need to check in at the ranger station for a gate code? I think someone mentioned a window sticker also? Please explain. Thanks, Matt
if youe coming friday you go to the ranger station and tell them your in the area five group and they will give you the gate code for the area five gate to go in to the park but there is no gate closed to get in to area five

I don't think everyone needs to stop at the Ranger station to check in; do We? I would think the gate can be left open after the first NCOR rig arrives and claims area5. if we're prepaid, how do we cover the camping tags? are we getting wristbands this year?

Exactly correct.
I'll be posting up with the check in procedures and what not here shortly. Long story short is that a few of the NCOR BOD will check in with the rangers 1st thing Friday morning and will then get into area 5. Once we take possession of area 5 we will NOT have to check in at the ranger station. Simply go to area 5 and check in with the appropriate NCOR BOD (I'll post that info up later). At that time they'll give you your wrist band and check you in.

Noted. Thanks. I'll need to dig out my HH map. I don't remember where area 5 is located. I've always entered the park near that old schoolhouse.

07-14-2009, 11:32 PM
On the same road as the school house (La Cienaga I think) it's about a 1/3 mile before the school house.
There's a turnout just like the school house and a gate that's parallel to the road as opposed to perpendicular like the school house.
I'll make sure Jason and Ryan have the gate open and marked clearly as Area 5 for BlazerFest if they aren't on top of it already.
EDIT: And Frizz, oops :p

Ok guys wanted to give a heads up to everybody (especially you folks that are new to BlazerFest) on this year's check in procedures.
Since I won't be at BF till Saturday morning the people you'll want to meet up with to check in at BF will be Jays68yak (Jason) or bggrnchevy (Kyle) or RyanB (Ryan). Once you get into area 5 camp ground go find anyone of these guys (if you don't know who they are simply ask around and you'll find them) and they'll get you signed in, give you your wrist band and 5 free raffle tickets (per person in your group). Keep your wristband on till the end of the event. You can also buy more raffle tickets from these guys. They're $1 each or 6 for $5. Stock up on them as we've got some GREAT stuff to give away this year. Be sure to check in with these guys and get your wristbands before you go into the park and actually go wheeling. The rangers know that everyone in our group will have these wristbands on.
As mentioned previously, area 5 is just a bit past the main ranger kiosk on Cienega road and is a bit before the entrance to the school house. The gate will be on the right hand side of the road and will have several banners hung on/around it. YOU DO NOT NEED TO GO TO THE MAIN RANGER KIOSK...SIMPLY GO STRAIGHT TO AREA 5. If for some reason the gate is locked...the combo is 3006.
I'll have the T-shirts with me on Saturday so if you purchased one this year simply come find me sometime that day or early sunday morning and I'll give you your T-shirt.
Poker run will Start at 10:30am Saturday morning and we'll hand out the poker run cards that morning right before the event. 7pm is dinner time to grub down on some killer Mansmiths' BBQ  . Raffle will start around 8:30 + or - depending on how things are going. If we have time I'd like to get in some group pictures before dinner time say around 6pm or so.
That's about it....looking forward to this weekend and wheeling with everyone. :2thumbs:
Be safe, don't drink and wheel (rangers WILL catch you and it'll be DUI time and it'll be VERY bad for the club) and remember to leave your campsite and area 5 in general cleaner and in better shape when we leave it than when we got there.
GAME ON!!!!! :2thumbs:
