4th of July- mud drag, mud bog, circle track, 1/8 mile drags

I got invited to this event by word of mouth... and was I told the more the merrier, so its cool if i post on my clubs message board...

Its going to be all day on saturday july 4th right next to bolado park (san benito county fairgrounds)

It is on private property, no enterance fee. I was told "You must be cool if you go, no BS, Drama, or fighting."

-Mud Drag Racing
-Mud Bog Pit
-Circle track racing
-1/8th mile Dragstrip with christmas tree
-Burnout contest

Dude. 1/8th mile. Tell John he needs to drop back off his gt500 or even your sisters camaro for a "retorque" that weekend. Or i'm sure you can find a car in the shop that needs a "test drive".

appearantly all the fast mud and sand drag truck boys are buying some slicks to run their trucks at this 1/8th mile.

I just got the rig running again, so I can go to this. The 33" BFG M/T's are on the rig now and I am considering taking the boggers, just in case the mud looks inviting. I am undecided on what to do with the 550# flat bed. Any ideas on how much a stock londbed weighs?

This in conjunction with the now cancelled Independence Day rally. Grimsley is having vendors and other events out at his property. Should be a blast! Hang a right before you get to the fairgrounds and you're there! He's got a really nice place :beer:

I've been talking to one of the organizers and there is no official start or end time. He is hoping that enough people will be there around noon to start "playing". I am hoping a stock long bed magically appears in my yard before I load up Saturday Morning.

I'm towing the K5 out there. Running MTR's for the 1/8th mile and Boggers for the mud drag.
My dad might drive my Z28 down there so i can burn some rubber and make a few passes down the track with that as well.

Theres a few possible cars and trucks coming along with me as well..

Anyone wanna caravan, i would like to leave my house by 10:00, and get out there by noon.

First race I'll give you 1 blazer truck length. No bottle. No lifting/sandbagging. I want left lane. No deep staging to get the jump.
You must come back around under your own power and line up again for the race to count. Then we can re-negotiate.

That was fun. Nice way to chill and kick it with peeps. Saw some cool cars and truck making noise down the 1/8. Saw some cool trucks run the mud drags. Saw some cars crash and fuck each other up on the circle track. A good 4-5 people head into the mud pit too fast and kill their motors. All got them fired back up other then 1 I think. Would be nice to go back next year and camp too.
