I have some serious steering issues now that I moved the axle forward 3 inches. I actually wanted to go 4 but the steering wouldn't allow it and I wanted to keep my options open.
I've been looking into just converting my existing hydro assist into full time hydro by eliminating the steering box and drag link, and using a steering valve to control the ram.
Stuff I think I know, correct me if I'm wrong. My ram is a 2x6 chief tie rod ram. With this type of ram won't it turn quicker in one direction than the other? Meaning on the rod side of the piston?
I was looking at Suicide Sally from Poison Spyder and all they are using is a PSC ram similar to the design of the ones most of us use.

My rig is never going to see the street again, but I do still drive it fast off road and if the steering is sketchy that would be out. In the rocks & crawling who cares if it turns a little slower one direction. Trying to figure out all the caveats before I do it. Then there is the headache of figuring out which steering valve to get to make sure my truck doesn't turn like a forklift. 6/7 turns of the wheel lock to lock hehe 2/3 is more like it.
