Okay jeeper need your help

I have an 87 cherokee, heres the prob. Every fourty or fifty starts, this heep holds idle at like 3 grand on the tach for like five minuets and the its like it something releases and it runs fine and won't do it till the next fourty or fifty starts. Any suggestions on what this could be?

87 is carber correct??? Probably just the choke sticking..

my k5 does that i need a new carb did u check the carb if its electronic choke maybe it came disconnected
