Haha...the one there has held up good, that's the K5's.

The dodge's is what died cause he hammered on it on the asphalt too much. Plus he didn't weld it like the K5's. :thumb:

Hey that was only the Dakota prototype.

The 10 bolt and Toyota axles have held up fine. :beer:

What are you looking for exactly? How much do you want to spend?

Maybe Joe will chime in on this one…he works at High Angle.

I personally run Tom Woods 1350 CV shafts front and rear on my rig and they’ve held up great so far. For the money I paid for them…they had better!!!

My High Angle rear shaft held up great to my abuse. Llike the Tom Woods shaft, it was expensive.

it will be for the front and i will need something with a lot of travel and 1350 42 degree cv.

as far as price around 400 would be nice.

You are in the ballpark as far as cost is concerned. :blink:

Not sure exactly what angle mine is rated up to but I’m pretty sure it’s around 35*. Extra machining and grinding was required to get the 1350 to do that. Have you called either of the vendors to talk to them about your setup?

A 1350 cv will never reach 42*. Ever. If you really need 42* then you'll need something like this- http://www.highangledriveline.com/42cv.html

And theres no way you'll get a long travel 42* cv for $400. You'd be lookin at $700+- for a long travel setup..

A 1350 can reach 32-35* before it's maxed out, and thats with the machining and clearance griding like Nate mentioned.

As for who makes the best driveline, I'm a bit biased obviously...but either would prolly do just fine for you. I run HAD shafts in my truggy obviously, and beat on them hard...just watch the Hammers video. :D

I'd imagine it would be $400-500 for a long slip shaft. That is NOT a quote...Jesse does the prices, you'd have to call him.

Well we have our 32 degree 1350 c/v - starts around 419.00 w/o long slip -we can offer a 10 % discount for those on this forum- and trhen we have the 42 degree (1410 sized c/v) not for street use as a rear shaft- cost is more money around 700 range- w/o long slip- and then the 1310 34 degree shaft starts around 289.00 w/o long slip add aprox 75$ for the 12 slip with heat treated spline and boot for longevity- hope this starts to make sence- JEss
