So…where’s the best (price, quality) place to get synthetic winch line at? Also…what brand? Amsteel, masterpull? Any others?

Found some good deals on ebay.
100’ of 5/16” Amsteel line with an aluminum fairlead for $189+ shipping. Not bad. I’ve got to confirm how much my drum will fit and I’ll probably just end up ordering it off of ebay. But…any feedback from people who are actually running this stuff would be appreciated.

I got 125' of 3/8" (warn 12k) Amsteel blue and a big ass hook for $250 shipped from www.peakempire.com. He does winch rope specials on Pirate all the time. Check the vendors section.
Synthetic rope is worth it's weight in gold over steel as far as I'm concerned. Theres alittle more maintenance involved, gotta be a bit more carefull with it, but the advanteges waaaaay outweigh the disadvantages...It's stronger, lighter, easier to handle. Doesn't fly apart like a bullet when it breaks. I know this cause it happned to me at BF....Someone who shall remain unnamed, hooked it up wrong when I was pulling that dipshit out of the ditch and cut the rope on tweakers bumper. It was under load, and just fell straight to the ground. Never let anyone but yourself hook up your rope- Unless you trust them of course.
